This paper reviews how the two agencies could collaborate to promote large new cross-border projects, such as the Alaska Pipeline. At the same time, Paul examines the energy balances of the three NAFTA countries (US, Canada, Mexico), and why the US needs an Energy Policy.
	North American Gas-Fired Power Generation August 2004 - 10 pages This paper reviews the growth of the gas-fired electricity within the North American power industry, the limited options for other fuels to displace gas requirements for power generation prior to 2010 and the potential for further gas-powered generation to replace existing power generation by other fuels.
	Natural Gas Supply in North America July 2004 - 9 pages Ziff Energy's North American gas supply outlook to 2015 reviews production from each major region with a focus on Western Canada, the US Rockies, and the Gulf of Mexico. Traditional North American basins are maturing and the outlook for gas production is flat to declining, so other frontier supplies are required if growing North American gas demand is to be met. Ziff Energy expects recent gas production declines to flatten somewhat, reflecting stronger drilling activity resulting from robust gas prices. However, record drilling is needed just to maintain the status quo, and non-traditional resources, including LNG, are essential.

	North American Pipelines - A Five Year Review April 2004 - 10 pages Ziff Energy reviewed the mahor pipeline expansions over the past five years in the US Gulf Coast, Western Canada, US Southwest, and US Rockies and analysed their impact on existing pipeline infrastructure. Gas production from these regions was examined over this period to determine if increasing production supported pipeline expansions. The costs for each of the identified pipeline projects are evaluated in terms of cost per MMcf/d of added daily capacity an in cost per inch mile.
	LNG Growth March 2004 - 9 pages Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is expected to grow over 9% of the global natural gas market by the year 2007. The surge in liquefaction capacity will likely outstrip gas demand growth. The unit construction costs for new LNG plants and shipping costs have fallen in the last 30 years.
	Mexico's Natural Gas Outlook February 2004 - 12 pages Gas supply: Mexico sits on a sea of natural gas; yet in 2003, a new 300 MMcf/d import pipeline from Texas (Kinder Morgan) was commissioned, and the state-owned Federal Power Utility (known as CFE) contracted long term for upwards of 400 MMcf/d of gas at Altamira (Gulf of Mexico) to be delivered to a proposed LNG terminal operated by Shell (with Total).
	Western Canada Unconventional Gas Potential January 2004 - 15 pages Western Canada gas production reached a peak of 17 Bcf/d in 2001 and 2002 before declining approximately 0.4 Bcf/d in 2003. The development of unconventional gas supplies is needed to provide incremental supply volumes in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin.

	An Assessment of Gas-Fired Power Generation and Future Natural Gas Demand July 2003 - 12 pages North American gas consumption for gas-fired power generation has increased to over 15 Bcf/d by January 2002, double the late 1980s consumption of 7 Bcf/d. While the overall demand for natural gas grows, the power generation share of the total gas market increases to 27% by 2010, up from the year 2000.
